Wusakile Secondary School Refurbished Science lab

ZOCS earlier today handed over the Wusakile Sec Sch refurbished science lab to the school. With an investment worth approximately K450 000 from Global Giving Support/ Cummins, the lab will benefit 1700 learners. The handover was witnessed by DEBS Kitwe representative, school PTA chairperson and management. Education Broadcasting Services was present to capture the moment. #EndLearningPoverty

Promoting ECE

HUNDREDS of community members gathered at Kalama Prinary School in Mazabuka District on Thursday to celebrate the completion of a round hut built as learning space for preschool learners. The highlight of the event was the presence of among others, the Roger Federer Foundation CEO, His Royal Highness Chief Mwanachingwala, Magoye Member of Parliament, the District Commissioner, Southern Provincial Education Officer, and ZOCS Executive Director. The message remains that children need to be prepared for school and schools should be ready for children thus ZOCS is implementing a seven year School Readiness Initiative aimed at promoting Early Childhood Education. The project targets to build 1800 round huts.

Handing over of school supplies

We had the pleasure of handing over an assortment of school supplies to Western Province Minister Hon. Kapelwa Mbangweta. The exercise books, shoes, calculators, pens, etc will be distributed to vulnerable children in Nkeyema district.

As ZOCS, we stand proud contributing to improving the lives and offer quality education to the less privileged children in Community Schools. The once looked down on Community Schools have graduated thousands of children now working as adults in different sectors.
