Micro-Finance

Poultry HouseZOCS microfinance programme aims to provide capital funding to new and existing businesses that are willing to commit 40% of their profits to school running costs, from existing community groups.

To this end, ZOCS provides entrepreneurship trainings and other business development advice and support to communities. One major programme is the Training for Transformation Programme, which continues to develop the capacity of our communities.

The microfinance project is in line with ZOCS corporate strategy to shift financial and managerial responsibility to the communities, currently held centrally. The project will run in conjunction with initiatives across Fundraising, Community Capacity Building and Education to decentralise management responsibility. Working closely with each to deliver a coherent policy within the current capabilities of each community.

Widows Empowerment Empowerment of the community is another way that ZOCS helps some caregivers/guardians take care of the OVC in their households and contribute to the community school .
