ZOCS SchoolThe education programme revolves around the rights of children to quality basic education.

 

ZOCS is currently reaching out to more than 9,500 children attending its 19 schools (12 in Lusaka, 4 in Kafue, 1 in Kabwe and 2 in Mambwe Districts), 25,700 OVC are in  ZOCS affiliated schools under WFP Feeding Programme in Southern Province.About 3,500 of these children are in other ZOCS affiliated schools within its catchmnet area. The total number coming to 37,353. 

Zambia Open Community Schools envisions community schools as centers of care and support for all pupils, especially orphans and vulnerable children. To this end, ZOCS supports teacher training through the Zambia Teacher Education Course done in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, as well as in-service trainings available to all community school teachers. 
 

ZOCS also provides teaching and learning materials through the generous sponsorship of our donors.
