Success Stories

Community Empowerment is one of the strategies of ensuring the community to take responsibilities. Infrustructure development of classrooms is one of them where the community helps in moulding blocks and building.

Other strategic interventions involved are:

• Empowering PCSCs in school management and resource mobilisation skills through Training for Transformation programmes
• Increasing knowledge levels through life skills education for positive behaviour formation and change and attitude change in pupils, teachers supervisors and PCSCs to enable them make informed decisions on HIV/AIDS and poverty
• Direct support to OVC and their carers through psychosocial counseling interventions and establishment of Youth Friendly Corners, with IGAs in schools
• Strengthening community support networks and peer-support for HIV positive pupils, teachers, OVC-Carers and PCSCs and their families.
